Early Life

Vikram was born on April 17, 1966, in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, India. He is the son of veteran Tamil film producer, R. K. Selvamani. He completed his schooling at Loyola College, Chennai and graduated with a degree in English Literature from Loyola College, Chennai. He was actively involved in theater and was a member of the Loyola College Dramatic Society.

Acting Career

Vikram made his acting debut in the 1990 Tamil film "En Kadhal Kanmani." However, it was his role in the film "Sethu" (1999) that brought him critical acclaim and recognition. He went on to star in several critically acclaimed and commercially successful films, including "Dhill" (2001), "Anniyan" (2005), "Bheema" (2008), "I" (2015), "Vikram Vedha" (2017), and "Mahavir Karna" (2021).
