He dropped out of Santa Monica High School and attended the Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in New York.

Career

Downey Jr. began his acting career in the 1980s, with small roles in various films and television shows. He made his breakthrough in the film industry with his leading role as Charlie Chaplin in the 1992 film "Chaplin," for which he received critical acclaim and nominations for several awards.
