Education
He started programming when he was in middle school. Already, Zuckerberg was enjoying developing computer programs, in particular communication equipment and games.
At Ardsley High School, he studied Greek-Romanian literature. He was sent to Phillips Exeter Academy, Hampshire for his post-secondary education.
While he received many awards in science and literary practice, Zuckerberg in a college letter stated that he could read and write well French, Hebrew, Latin and Ancient Greek.
After graduating from high school, he decided to go to Harvard University, where he joined the Jewish fraternity, Alpha Epsilon. He was known, in college, for writing lines from great poems such as "The Lied".
Setting up facebook
Zuckerberg started Facebook on February 4, 2004, from his Harvard dorm room. The idea for Facebook came to him from the long-standing tradition of publishing an annual student directory with headshot photographs of all students, faculty, and staff from his Phillips Exeter Academy days, as at most colleges and schools, "Facebook." As in college, Zuckerberg's Facebook "Harvard Thing" began, when Zuckerberg decided to spread Facebook to other schools and enlisted the help of his roommate Dustin Moskovitz. They first spread it to Stanford, Dartmouth, Columbia, Cornell and Yale, and to other schools with social contacts at Harvard.
Relocation to california
Zuckerberg moved to Palo Alto, California with Moskovitz and other friends. He leased a small house which suited him as his first office. Over the summer, Zuckerberg met Peter Thiel, who invested in his company. He got his first office in the summer of 2004. According to Zuckerberg, the group decided to return to Harvard in the fall, eventually staying in California. Till today, he did not return to college as a student.
News feed
On September 5, 2006, Facebook launched the News Feed, a product of what its friends were doing on the site. Zuckerberg was criticized as by many to see the news feed as unnecessary and an object of cyberstalking.
